Mail Processing Plant Closure May Hurt Area Businesses

Changes to your mail service may be here before the end of the year.
The downtown mail processing and distribution center is slated to close in December due to budget cuts, and now the local union is trying to stop the shut down.
"You're not going to notice it until it's gone, and then all of the sudden, they'll be wondering what's happened," said Karen Gilmore, President of America's Postal Union in Augusta.
