Graydon Thompson LLC, an Upstate-based accounting firm designed to offer individuals and organizations across the Carolinas a high-expertise, high-touch alternative to other accounting and consulting firms in the region, has named Michael J. Twomey a Senior Tax Manager with the firm.

Mr. Twomey is a CPA and a member of the firm’s Tax and Advisory Services team, and is based in the firm’s Greenville office.  He has over two decades of experience in public accounting, including time on the Price Waterhouse tax team in Philadelphia, where he served in their International Assignment Tax Services group.  There, he focused on tax planning and compliance for global companies, as well as tax equalizations for inbound and outbound international executives.  He also has worked with several regional firms in both Delaware and South Carolina. 

Mr. Twomey is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Public Accountants, advises clients on financial and business matters, and is active in recruiting, counseling and developing professional staff.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Finance from Mount St. Mary’s University, and has long been active in community groups including Our Lady of the Rosary School and the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
