“I was supposed to graduate one year before my son,” explains Kelli Miller Pierson, who just turned 44 on May 4^th. “But a really nasty golf cart accident resulted in a severely broken leg that forced me to miss two semesters while I mended.”  So, while his mother and classmate was out of school for a year, Drew Pierson soldiered on and caught up with Kelli---and earned “Outstanding Undergraduate” honors in both psychology and anthropology.

“I think I may have the coolest mom in the universe,” smile Drew Pierson. “And it is amazing that things worked out so that we will actually graduate together.” Kelli’s father and mother, Larry and Donna Miller, are absolutely bursting with joy. “We are so proud of our daughter and our grandson for their determination and commitment to furthering their education,” beams Donna Miller. Larry Miller, owner/broker of CENTURY 21 Larry Miller Realty, adds: “Kelli could have very easily given up and used her traumatic injury as an excuse.—but she didn’t. We cannot wait to see them walk across that stage to receive their diplomas”

Kelli Miller Pierson and her husband, Trip Pierson, have a younger son, Jamie. They make their home in Richmond County.
