NerdWallet, a consumer advocacy website, recently conducted a study to find the best cities in South Carolina for millennial job seekers – and North Augusta ranked 11th.

To find the best communities for recent graduates and millennials looking to launch their careers, NerdWallet evaluated 66 cities, towns and census-designated places and examined the following variables:

· Percentage of millennials

· Millennial population growth

· Unemployment rate

· Average worker payroll

· Median rent

NerdWallet ranked North Augusta the 11th best city for millennial job seekers in South Carolina. The city experienced a 3.7% growth in its millennial population from 2010 to 2013, bringing the percentage of its 18-33-year-old residents to 19.6%. Young people here earned on average $35,230 during 2012. Living in North Augusta is more affordable than any place in the top 10; median monthly rent here is just $688. Its unemployment rate is also one of the lowest in the state, at 8.1%.
