The Salvation Army June Auto Auction Moved to July 25th

Press release from the issuing company

Friday, June 12th, 2015

The Salvation Army Augusta Area Command has rescheduled their June 6th auto auction to Saturday, July 25th at 1384 Greene Street in Augusta. All auction vehicles are donated by individuals throughout the greater Augusta area and proceeds benefit The Salvation Army’s Center of Hope.

The summer Auto Auction is an important source of funding for The Salvation Army of Augusta, as it provides much needed revenue to our Center of Hope programs: Soup Kitchen, homeless shelter for men, women and children,  and our substance abuse rehabilitation program.

Vehicle donations are accepted year-round and free pick-up is available. “We will take any type of vehicle donation, cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, golf cars, jet skis and RV’s.  We have a service able to pick up your donated vehicle if it is unable to be driven in.  The important part is simply donating” says Major Tony Perez, Area Commander of The Salvation Army in Augusta.

Registration for the auction on Saturday July 25th starts at 8 am with the auction beginning at 10 am. Customers are encouraged to visit the auction yard during the three Preview Days, at which time they can view the inventory, look under the hood, and start the vehicles. Preview Days are July 22, 23 and 24 from 8 am to 6 pm at 1384 Greene Street. There is a $5 fee to register for the auction. The auctioneer will be Gene Cockerham (#998).
