Augusta Banker Named President of State Bank & Trust

Remer Brinson III, the former chief executive officer for Augusta-based First Bank of Georgia, has been named the president of State Bank & Trust, which now owns First Bank.
State Bank, based in Atlanta, acquired First Bank by merging with Georgia-Carolina Bancshares in January. The consolidation of First Bank into State Bank branches and systems is underway.
