Finalists for Augusta Housing Director Interviewed

Augusta is nearing the end of a search to replace former Housing and Community Development Director Chester Wheeler, who resigned in December.
Four finalists interviewed with the mayor and Augusta Commission members this week: interim Director Hawthorne Welcher Jr.; Akron, Ohio, Housing and Community Services Administrator Thomas Tatum; former Boulder, Colo., Homeownership Program Manager Bonita Scarlett-Logan; and former Augusta Neighborhood Improvement Corp. Executive Director Robert Cooks.
