Georgia Port Authority Director in Augusta to Discuss Savannah Harbor Expansion

Savannah Harbor Expansion Project is underway and Thursday, the director of the Georgia Port Authority was in CSRA attending the Augusta Exchange Club meeting.

Curtix Foltz says the widening and deepening of the harbor is important because it would allow bigger ships to port in Savannah, the fourth busiest port in the U.S. He says the port’s economic impact in Augusta is about 12-thousand jobs and will grow with the expansion.
