Goodwill Names New Members to Boards of Directors

Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA is pleased to name the following distinguished individuals as members of the Goodwill Board of Directors for 2016.
Each of the 180 autonomous Goodwill organizations world-wide is governed by volunteer Boards of Directors. Joining the Board of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA are:
· Jim James, Senior Director of Club and Hospitality Operations for Augusta National Golf Club. An Augusta resident, James is married to Elizabeth Sekul, M.D. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and served in management positions at golf clubs in Miami and Gulfstream, Fla., prior to joining Augusta National in 1995.
· Ninfa Saunders, President and CEO of Navicent Health in Macon, Ga. Saunders, a Macon resident, is married to Jim Saunders and earned a Masters in Science in Nursing from Rutgers University; a Masters in Business Administration from Emory University; and a Doctorate in Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. She previously served in management positions for Dekalb Medical Center, the Governor’s Georgia Cancer Coalition and Virtual Health.
· Anthony Wagner, Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Business Officer of Augusta University. Wagner is an Augusta resident and is married to Lisa Wagner. He earned a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Temple University, and previously served in leadership positions at Georgia Regents University, Temple University and Penn State.
In addition, D. Brian Tidwell, General Counsel of Textron Specialized Vehicles, has been named as a member of the Board of Directors of Good Vocations. A Martinez resident, Tidwell is married to Christy Tidwell and is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Boston College and the University of Alabama. After rising to the rank of Captain in the U.S. Air Force, Tidwell served as a private attorney, as corporate counsel for Southern Research Institute, and as Assistant General Counsel of Bell Helicopter Textron.
Good Vocations, operated by Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA, provides custodial and shelf-stocking services under federal contract at Fort Gordon and Robins Air Force Base, employing more than 200 individuals, more than 80 percent of whom have moderate to severe disabilities.
Tidwell is joined on the Good Vocations board by Dr. George Snelling, immediate past chairman of the Goodwill Board of Directors. Snelling, a retired dentist, is a real estate developer with Snelling Properties, LLP, of Augusta.
The Board of Directors of Goodwill, Good Vocations and the Goodwill Works Foundation also have elected officers for 2016 pre-Goodwill Gala meeting on Nov. 20:
Officers elected to the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia, Inc., are Chair, Stephen Denton; Vice Chair I, James Davis; Vice Chair II, Raymond Smith; Secretary, John David.
Officers elected to the Board of Directors of Good Vocations are Chair, Bennett Yort; Vice Chair, Johnathan Alderman; and Secretary/Treasurer, Dr. George Snelling.
Offers elected to the Board of Directors of the Goodwill Works Foundation are Chair, Cab Stitt; Vice Chair, Julie McAfee; and Secretary/Treasurer, Raymond Smith.
