Georgia Senate Adopts Mid-year Budget

The Georgia Senate unanimously passed a $23 billion mid-year state budget Wednesday with few changes from the version adopted by the state House of Representatives late last month.
The mid-year budget, which covers spending through the end of the state fiscal year in June, represents a $1.2 billion increase over the 2016 budget the General Assembly approved last spring.
