United Way of the CSRA Exceeds $3.5M Goal

With square dancers and a flash of gold dust, the United Way of the CSRA announced Tuesday that it exceeded its $3.5 million fundraising goal at its annual meeting at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center.
The organization, which funds 47 health and human service programs in 15 area counties, raised just over $3.5 million and celebrated with a Western-theme “gold rush celebration.” It also announced that the Combined Federal Campaign, the employee giving program for federal employees, raised nearly $545,000.
