Augusta Bans Drones over Crowds of 100 or more

In a move that surprised hobbyists and commercial drone operators, the Augusta Commission reversed course Tuesday and banned drone flights year-round over populated areas.
Last week, a commission committee limited the ban to a period around Masters Week. But Tuesday at the urging of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, the commission voted 7-2 to ban drones year-round.
