Sen. Bill Jackson Retiring at Term's End

Longtime Columbia County politician Bill Jackson announced Tuesday he is retiring at the end of his fifth term in the state senate.
Jackson, 83, and Gov. Nathan Deal’s senior Senate floor leader, previously served 16 years in the Georgia House of Representatives and as chairman of the Columbia County Board of Education.
