Augusta University Redeveloping Former Golf & Gardens Site

Augusta University is redeveloping the botanical garden section of the former Georgia Golf Hall of Fame property into an grassy field that could be used for everything from intramural sports to alumni events.
An AU spokesman on Monday said the utility and site-preparation work that began earlier this month is designed to turn the dense, maintenance-intensive garden into a field suitable for community events until the university can find a permanent use for the roughly 17-acre tract.
