New Waffle House Being Built in West Augusta

The first new Waffle House restaurant in Augusta in more than a decade is set to open later this year at Davis and Pleasant Home roads. Construction began this month at the nearly half-acre site at 246 Davis Road. On Tuesday, the Norcross, Ga.-based diner chain did not disclose a specific opening date, saying only that the restaurant would open during “fall 2016.”
