Tuesday, October 25th, 2016

The Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives recognized the 2016 recipients of the Carolinas Accredited Chamber designation at their Annual Management Conference at the Sheraton Hotel in Chapel Hill, NC on October 20, 2016.

Four chambers of commerce were honored as the recipients of this prestigious designation for 2016:

(1)     Blowing Rock (NC) Chamber of Commerce
(2)     Boone Area (NC) Chamber of Commerce
(3)     Greater Smithfield-Selma Area (NC) Chamber of Commerce
(4)     North Augusta (SC) Chamber of Commerce

The CACCE Carolinas Accredited Chamber program sets standards of excellence for chambers in North and South Carolina.  It recognizes chambers that have met those standards while offering guidelines for others to improve their effectiveness.  The program follows the U.S. Chamber model, and it shows that a chamber has gone through a detailed analysis of what and where they are as an organization.

This group joins three chambers that were recognized last year, bringing the total number of Carolinas Accredited Chambers to 24.
