Mullins Management Confirms Multi-million Dollar Investment in Apple Cross Apartment Complex
Tuesday, November 29th, 2016
Mullins Management announced a continuing investment in Apple Cross Apartments located in Columbia County. Mullins Management acquired and began managing the 50 year old complex last year. The company has a long history of buying distressed and neglected properties and reinvesting to improve the value of the property and surrounding real estate.
“We are on track to invest several million dollars in Apple Cross in the coming months,” said Joe Mullins, President of Mullins Management. “We have been working with tenants to relocate those that were impacted by mold and other issues prior to our acquisition of the property.” The multi-million dollar investment will transition the real estate into a form of student housing to meet growing demand in the region.
“These things take time to develop but we are excited at the progress we have made in the last few months,” says Mullins. “We inherited a very run-down property, but this is where our experience and real estate knowledge shines.” He points to the transformation Mullins Management made with Brandi Wine, now called Southern Grace.
“Our initial goal with any distressed property is to make it safe for tenants. We then assess the damage, review options and commence the investment process to improve the value of the real estate and make it an asset for the county and the community,” stated Mullins.
