North Augusta Lions Club is excited to announce Rachel and Kenny Franklin as Grand Marshals for the annual North Augusta Lions Christmas Parade.

About the Franklins

Rachel and Kenny Franklin are the owners of SNOCAP Drive-In. Rachel (from Johnston) moved to North Augusta in 1992 to work for US Foods and Kenny (from Aiken) moved to North Augusta in 1982 and has worked for SRS for 36 years.  Both as single parents raising their children to be active in the community, met at Riverview Park.

SNOCAP Drive-In opened in 1964, known as the downtown city landmark diner. But Rachel & Kenny who purchased the CAP in August 1996 (celebrating their 20th anniversary) have always seen the business as a ministry and “the Mini Chamber of Commerce” welcoming everyone local and afar into an inter-generational, nostalgic atmosphere.

Always creating new ways to keep the vision alive, the Franklins have Car Cruise-Ins, Bike-Nights and many FUNraising events which all contribute to GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY. The ultimate reason the Franklins keep the CAP alive is their loyal staff and customers who give their dedication every day, week after week. They don’t just promote their businesses, but both serve as AMBASADORS for all of NORTH AUGUSTA and the CSRA wherever they go.

Rachel served as a Chamber Ambassador especially focusing on small businesses, non-profits and civic groups. And, SNOCAP was recognized as the 2011 Small Business of the Year by the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce.
