North Augusta Chamber Names Ambassador of the Fourth Quarter

The North Augusta Chamber of Commerce has announced that Lee Byrd, a member of The Riverfront Marines, Detachment #1132, has been chosen as the Ambassador of the fourth quarter in 2016.
Byrd has served on the Ambassador’s Council since July 2016. This council serves to act as a liaison between among the Chamber staff, board, and membership while actively pursuing the growth of membership to businesses, professionals, individuals and non-profits in addition to promoting chamber benefits, members and community events.
Ambassador of the Quarter is received by an individual in recognition of their dedication the Council and Chamber overall. This individual is someone shows commitment to the Chamber’s mission to assist its members with business development, promotion of economic growth and bringing awareness to the North Augusta Community.
“I enjoy going to the Ribbon Cuttings, meeting with fellow Ambassadors and Chamber Members who are following their dreams of owning their own business, “said Byrd.
Byrd is a native of Darlington, South Carolina. He was employed with the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center for 39 years. Byrd resides in North Augusta, SC.
Byrd represents chamber member, Riverfront Marines, Detachment #1132, a non-profit organization that’s involved in a number of activities that benefit various segments of the local community including Toys for Tots and a local Scholarship Program. Byrd has been a member with them since 2006.
