Prestige Appliance LLC, headquartered in Aiken, South Carolina, will open its first factory discount store, Discount Appliance of Augusta, in April. It will offer reduced price Frigidaire and Electrolux appliances along with other brands. This initial location will sell major home appliances at significant discounts from normal retail prices.

Discount Appliance of Augusta will feature great values for major home appliances, including factory closeouts, units with factory blemishes, and items that have minor scratches and dents – appliances not typically offered through normal established retail channels, says Douglas C. Huffer, managing partner and founder of Prestige Appliance. All new units will be sold with factory warranties, and home delivery service will be available through the store. Discount Appliance of Augusta will be located on Bobby Jones Expressway in the Anderson Plaza Center and is expected to open mid-April.

“By Featuring Frigidaire and Electrolux appliances in this new store, it enables us to further extend our product offering to all segments and price points of the Augusta market that we normally wouldn’t serve,” Huffer says. “We are excited to establish this initial location, and, if successful, we look forward to further expanding the discount appliance footprint in other markets we serve.”
