Building Your Small Business Toolbox with the North Augusta Chamber November 17th

The North Augusta Chamber of Commerce in an effort to support and educate the small business backbone of our community has designed a program to fit this purpose.  Please join the NACoC for the Good Morning North Augusta Series in which businesses and community leaders network, educate and interact with each other.  You will hear from three organizations that are leaders in our community.  They each will present on an area that they are known for being subject matter experts.  Below is a little about each of their presentations as well as the presenters themselves.

Tax Tips for the Small Business – Presented by Michelle Bennett, CPA – SME CPAs

Michelle Bennet, CPA is a native of Thomson, GA and now resides in North Augusta, SC.  Michelle received her Bachelors of Business Administration in Economics & Finance from Augusta University in 1996 and joined SME CPAs in 2000.  Michelle has served as a speaker for Augusta University, Georgia Society of CPA’s, Georgia Center for Nonprofits, and Lorman Education Services.  Michelle is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the graduate of Leadership Augusta (2009) and previously served on the Board of Directors for the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce where she served as Past Chair.

Going the Extra Mile – Presented by Jon Dawkins – Chick-fil-A North Augusta

Jon Dawkins is the owner/operator of the Chick-fil-A franchise in North Augusta, South Carolina which opened in Augusta, 2003.  He is married to his wife, Rachel, of 18 years, and they have three children, Ashlyn (16), Katelyn (13), and Ethan (9).  Jon is a past board member and board chair for the North Augusta Chamber.  He currently serves on the board of Golden Harvest Food Bank.  Jon is very active in his church, True North, and in his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, and participating in any type of outdoor recreation.  Jon has been a part of the Chick-fil-A family for almost 20 years, and has seen how great customer service can transform a business and an entire community.

Chris Rucker is the owner of the national award winning Branding & Marketing studio Kruhu located in downtown Augusta, GA.  Kruhu exists to inspire, communicate, and cultivate brands to be contagious in spirit and courageous in nature.  They are a group of brothers and sisters, constantly pushing each other to be the best and to guarantee their clients receive a product that stands out in a saturated market.  Kruhu makes a daily commitment to the success of their clients and their brands – we’re here to do things with brands, not for brands.

This Good Morning North Augusta Series event will be held Friday, November 17th, 2017 – 7:30am at the North Augusta Municipal Building, 100 Georgia Avenue, North Augusta, SC.  Admission is $15 for Members and $25 for Non-Members.  Non-members may register using the Eventbrite Website:  www.gmnanov17.eventbrite.com.
