Joe Mullins presents a check for $5,000 to the Christian Learning Centers of Augusta. Executive Director Laura Garner will accept the donation on behalf of the CLCA today at 12:30 pm at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church located at 402 Aumond Road in Augusta, Georgia.

Joseph (Joe) F. Mullins is an entrepreneur from Augusta, Georgia leading multiple businesses focused on economical and charitable improvements throughout the Southeast, including renovating and restoring distressed properties across the region. Mullins is the founder and serves as CEO of The Mullins Companies - the parent company of Mullins Management Inc., Mullins Sports & Entertainment, and Mullins Properties. He received his BBA in Business Administration from the University of Georgia, and is a four-time recipient of the Bulldog 100 Award given to the top 100 growing companies led by a UGA graduate.

Mullins has served, established and supported numerous charity events over the past two decades. His philanthropic efforts have raised millions of dollars for various charities and improved the quality of life in communities across the Southeast. Last year’s Columbia County Snowfest, now in its sixth year, raised $30,000 for Southeast area charities alone, the bulk of which was donated to the Press On Foundation to help local and national children battling with cancer, and the Columbia County Arts Foundation.

CEO Joe Mullins offered, “We put on a lot of different events each year in sports and entertainment venues. We want to make sure our events not only have a positive economical affect on the community, but that they include a donation arm to give back to those in need in our community. We raised this year’s donation during our hospitality event at the Master’s Golf Tournament this past April, with businesses from all over the world in attendance.”

Mullins continued, “We are headquartered out of Augusta, Georgia and have a satellite office in Flagler Beach, Florida. We feel strongly about making an impact in the Southeast communities where we do business as well as serve in a charitable way. We are so pleased to give this donation to the Christian Learning Center of Augusta. As a father of five and lifelong contributor to children’s organizations, I want to continue to support those who help our children to grow up with quality of life. Like the Press On Foundation, we believe the child-centric focus of the CLCA is making a strong impact here and across the country now.”

Mullins continued, “The reason we chose the CLCA is because they are teaching the Bible to kids in public schools in Richmond County who might never have a chance to know him. My relationship with God is a big part of who I am. I am a very big advocate for others to learn who God is and learn how to have a relationship with God. Our future dictates our knowing that and I’m so impressed with the mission of this program to open this door for the children in our community. “

“I encourage other businesses to get involved with these types of organizations and not be afraid to be politically correct, but to stand on the side of being Biblically correct.”

The Christian Learning Center of Augusta was founded in 2001 as a non-profit with a mission to bring hope to the youth of Augusta. The CLCA brings volunteers, donors and advocates together to provide off-campus Bible education for over 800 public school students through the Released Time Bible Education program. The non-profit Christian organization is managed by a Board of Directors of local professionals from different denominations. CLCA teachers and curriculum seek to strengthen family relations, and build wholesome friendships, a good work ethic and strong study habits in tomorrow’s leaders.

Mullins concluded, “I am committed to give back to the local communities we do business in. As someone who has done business all over the country, the Southeast is where I am most focused to develop and improve the quality of life. Part of what I want to do as an organization next is to create a performing arts foundation to be able to help kids develop their hobbies and talents in the performing arts industry.”

Mullins serves or has served on the Development Committee of the Salvations Army; Columbia County Chamber, Government Affairs Committee; Augusta Sports Council; and as an Executive Board Member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce . He is also a member of the Attorney General’s Statewide Opioid Task Force; Southeastern Entertainment Council; and the Italian American Club of Palm Coast.
