WAAW General Manager/Operations Manager Mr. BJ Murphy announces the appointment of Donna Moore Wesby as the WAAW Assistant General Manager/Sales Department Manager, effective immediately.

In this capacity, Donna will report directly to the general manager.  Wesby will:

Assist the general manager in the crafting and implementation of the overall strategic vision for WAAW and other acquired stations;

Develop, execute, and monitor the station’s development and external publicity philosophy and activities;

Maintain a working knowledge of, and work in partnership with the general manager to maintain the viability of WAAW in all areas, including budget development/tracking, programming, operations, expansion engineering, corporate and member services;

Lead the WAAW sales team and develop strategic plans and packages to generate income for WAAW in addition to developing and maintaining a sales training curriculum;

Serve as head administrator of WAAW in the absence of the general manager.

Prior to this appointment, Donna has been serving as the WAAW Sales Department Manager since February 1, 2017, and working behind the scenes over the past year to help put organizational systems in place for WAAW.  Wesby is also the host of the Education Matters radio broadcast on WAAW and a part of the BJ Murphy Morning Show team.  Collectively, Wesby has been part of the WAAW team over eight years.  She attained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina in Columbia (1992).
