Billy Graham’s First Ecumenical Crusade was Held in Augusta

One morning in late April of 1976, while I was a reporter for The Augusta Herald, City Editor John Barnes came over and said, “In about 30 minutes, I want you to go over to the Georgia Railroad Bank (most recently Wells Fargo at Seventh and Broad streets) and interview Billy Graham for our final edition.”
