Augusta Commission Committee Votes to Demolish Old Jail

In a swift reversal, an Augusta Commission committee voted Tuesday to demolish the old Joint Law Enforcement Center instead of renovating one of its buildings as a juvenile justice and training facility. Another committee voted to have a free James Brown Birthday Bash at the Augusta Common rather than the Miller Theater despite the preference of the promoter it be held there.
