The Evans and downtown Augusta locations of Pediatric Partners of Augusta once again have been recognized as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The Grovetown office was recognized last year and will be reevaluated in December.

“Being recognized by the NCQA as a PCMH organization is a true quality stamp of approval for our practice and children that we serve,” said Dr. Karen Foushee, founding partner of Pediatric Partners of Augusta. “This recognition is based on the things we do every day as we provide quality care for our patients.”

The National Committee for Quality Assurance says that PCMHs improve quality and the patient experience, increase staff satisfaction and reduce health care costs. Practices that earn the recognition have made a commitment to continuous quality improvement and a patient-centered approach to care.

The NCQA was founded as a nonprofit in the early 1990s to measure and accredit health plans. The organization uses measurement, transparency and accountability to highlight top performers and drive improvement in the health care industry. For more information, go to NCQA.org.
