The 10^th anniversary of the Clean Energy Roadshow will transition from an in-person event series to a unique, all-virtual, four-part webinar series this year. Public Service Commission Vice Chairman Tim Echols and a list of speakers broadcasting live from multiple sites across the state will tout the economic benefits of alternative fuel vehicles and renewable energy projects.

The second event of the four-part series, “Funding Georgia Clean Energy Projects” will take place Tuesday and examine various grant resources and tax benefits that can be accessed. The first event, “How it Works” – Showcasing Georgia’s Clean Fleets, was held on Aug. 20. One of the most notable projects highlighted during this event, is Gourmet Foods International, which just completed installation of several ETRU (Electric Truck Refrigeration Unit) chargers at their distribution center allowing them to keep their trucks cooled during loading and storage while avoiding costly diesel idle time.  Doug Jay, CEO of Gourmet Foods will demonstrate the charging units installed through Georgia Power, and funded with a Clean Cities ETRU grant during the live webinar starting at 1pm. 

Also Tuesday, viewers can discover how to find and fund alternative fuel fleet conversions and fueling for propane, natural gas and electric vehicle charging with grants, tax credits, purchasing cooperatives and more.
