The North Augusta Chamber has kicked off a new initiative, the Flavor of Small Business in greater North Augusta, to help spotlight local businesses.  The mission behind the campaign is to spotlight businesses who may have been impacted by COVID-19 and are currently open and operating under strict CDC guidelines, complying with social distancing and routine sanitization.

North Augusta Chamber President Terra Carroll started this campaign as a way to help chamber members get their business in front of people during this challenging time.  Carroll stated, “Many places have adapted their business model in order to survive.  Many restaurants who were traditionally dine-in only are now offering to-go and curbside service.  Retail is no different, with boutiques now offering online shopping experiences through social media, as well as DIY craft businesses hosting virtual workshops.”

While many businesses remain open, one thing is for certain: the way we’ve had to do business has changed.  “Our goal for this is to bring awareness that businesses are still open in North Augusta and the surrounding area!  There are options for enjoying your favorite restaurant or shopping at a retail store,” Carroll added.

The North Augusta Chamber offered its members participation in this free campaign, which is social media based.  The initial campaign of the Flavor of North Augusta will take place from August 3rd – September 4th and features a variety of social media posts and email blasts during this time period.  The Flavor of Small Business in greater North Augusta is sponsored by BriTen Janitorial, a local viral remediation and verification authority, specializing in infection prevention.

The North Augusta Chamber is an independent, nonprofit organization with the mission to promote and meet the unique needs of local business and industry in order to strengthen the community in which we live, work, and play.
