RCSS CyberPatriot Program Receives Center of Excellence of the Year Award

The Richmond County School System celebrates its role in winning consecutive CyberPatriot Center of Excellence of the Year awards. The award is presented by the Air Force Association’s CyberPatriot Program Office to communities and institutions that prepare their students for careers in cybersecurity.
The Fort Gordon Cyber District/Alliance for Cyber Education promotes the CyberPatriot program in Georgia and South Carolina. Richmond County School System is home to five CyberPatriot teams: Cyber Academy at Richmond County Technical Career Magnet School, two teams; Academy of Richland County, two teams; and Belair K-8, one team.
Alliance for Fort Gordon Executive Director Tom Clark, Superintendent Kenneth Bradshaw, Center, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Director Nanette Barnes and CyberPatriot Coordinator Justin Hairston were on hand to receive the award.
