City of Augusta Seeks More Solutions for Ailing Small Businesses

More than a quarter of Georgia businesses say they still need financial assistance while the coronavirus persists, and Augusta city officials have plans to help.
As 2020 drew to a close, city and state leaders across the country concluded that the initial round of federal business assistance from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act – and even state and local assistance programs – were reaching fewer recipients than what they anticipated.
