Augusta Celebrates Black History Month

Black history is important because black history is American history. It is not a separate subject. We highlight black history to continue to understand how black narratives are tightly woven and integrated into the United States' narrative as a whole. Therefore, there is a responsibility for us to acknowledge and celebrate the strides made by African Americans from the past and present.
