North Augusta Chamber’s Connect 4 Coffee: Substance Use in the Workplace

Monday, February 15th, 2021

Employees facing challenges caused by substance use, whether suffering themselves or caring for a loved one, do not do so in a vacuum outside their workplace. On Tuesday, February 16th at 9:00am the North Augusta Chamber will host a virtual Connect 4 Coffee segment to help employers consider ways to promote workforce health and protect employee safety.

Join speakers from Aiken Center’s Preventions, Peer Recovery Support, and Administrative departments as they breakdown Substance Use from different vantage points.  They will discuss how to recognize the signs of overdose, information regarding workplace policies and Employee Assistance Programs, and ways you can personally help prevent an overdose. A Peer Support Specialist will also share their personal experience with the Employee Assistance Program.

Connect for Coffee is complimentary and presented by Uniti Fiber. Registration is required at www.northaugustachamber.org. Chamber Members may also view live on Facebook at “NA CHAMBER PARTNERS”. For more information, contact Terra Carroll, President/CEO, at [email protected].
