Ms. Sweat was chosen by the Phinizy Center Board of Directors to lead the nonprofit organization. An Augusta native, Alicia has more than a decade of nonprofit experience in fundraising, business operations, leadership, and management.

In her most recent role, Alicia served as Vice President of the Burn Foundation of America, a nonprofit organization, and was recently named Top 10 Young Professionals to Watch by the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and also presented the Outstanding Young Professional award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
“Alicia is a positive and energetic leader. Her warmth and practical approach to problem solving, and passion for Augusta’s nonprofit community will serve the Phinizy Center volunteers, staff, board, and donors very well,” said Dan Troutman, Chairman of the Phinizy Center Board of Directors.
Alicia is a graduate from the James M. Hull College of Business at Augusta University where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She is a 2021 graduate of Leadership Augusta and current President for the Greater Augusta Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Board of Directors.
She and her family attend First Baptist Church of Augusta and she active in the community.
