Wendy’s New Martinez Location Grand Opening on June 15th Includes Donation of $50,000 to Golden Harvest Food Bank

With revitalized decor, comfortable seating and other amenities, customers will enjoy a stunning new Wendy’s experience when they visit the new restaurant in front of Carolina Pottery on Washington Road in Martinez beginning June 15th.
Wendy’s franchisee, Mike Iezzi and his management team at Wendgusta, LLC in the Greater Augusta area also want to put Wendy’s core value to Give Something Back in action with a $50,000 check presentation to the Golden Harvest Food Bank on June 15th at 2:30 PM. According to Mike Iezzi, “Our company is thrilled to continue our ongoing support of this organization with this donation in honor of our employees, customers and community.”
Amy Breitmann, Executive Director at Golden Harvest Food Bank stated, “We are so grateful to Mike Iezzi Wendy’s for thinking of us when opening their new location in Waynesboro. Their gift last year had significant impact during COVID and this donation will be used to directly impact 4 of our 25 counties due to school being out and an elevated need during the summer months.”
The restaurant was built using an innovative interior and exterior design, which is part of an ongoing effort to provide an enhanced customer experience — from the high-quality food to the restaurant environment.
“This restaurant has bold curb appeal and features a compelling design—inside and out,” said Wendy’s franchisee, Mike Iezzi. “It’s very different from what our customers in the Greater Augusta area are used to, but we think they’ll really like the fresh look and feel of the new Wendy’s.”
The interior showcases open, bright dining areas with multiple seating options, including booths, cozy lounge seating and a Wi-Fi bar. A Coca-Cola® Freestyle® beverage dispenser that allows customers to customize their drink choices is also available. The touch screen, self-serve fountains offer over 100 regular and low-calorie beverages, including a variety of branded waters, sports drinks, lemonades and sparkling beverages.
“Our ultimate goal is for our customers to have the best dining experience, and we think they will be surprised and excited about their new Wendy’s,” Iezzi said.
