Jan “Doc” Scholer and his wife, Tricie Scholer, the owners of the two Wild Wing Café restaurants in Augusta and Grovetown, have ended their franchise agreement in pursuit of a new local restaurant concept. The family-owned and operated restaurant, to be called Doc’s Porchside, will stay in the Wild Wing Café locations and will offer a variety of menu options. Doc’s Porchside is set to open in August.

With almost 20 years of restaurant management and experience, the Scholers created the idea and concept of Doc’s Porchside as a family. Doc and Tricie will be heavily involved, and their son Daniel Scholer will oversee the day-to-day operations of the new restaurant’s two locations.
