Fall Weather, Food, and Fun, Fall Farm Fest 2021 is Almost Here
Thursday, September 30th, 2021
The City of Aiken, Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department will host the annual Fall Farm Fest on Saturday, October 9th, 2021, from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM at the Aiken County Farmers Market (115 Williamsburg St SE). The event is a great way to support your local farmers and artisans while enjoying fall produce such as apples, arugula, peppers, squash, and sweet potatoes.
Admission is free and is open to all ages. Informational vendors such as electronic waste disposal and children’s activities, including a pumpkin decorating contest, will be offered. Candy apples, popcorn, cotton candy, cider, and hot cocoa will be available for purchase. Don’t forget to check out the farm fresh produce, baked goods, honey, and dairy products along with handmade crafts!
Children ages 5-12 can participate in the pumpkin decorating contest (paint a pumpkin for ages 5-8 and carve a pumpkin for ages 9-12). Participation is free! Pumpkins can be picked up at the Farmers Market on Saturday, October 2nd from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM. Supplies are limited. To be judged, participants will need to bring their pumpkins back to the Farmers Market by 10:45 AM on Saturday, October 9th. Prizes will be awarded to one winner from each category.
Local artist Mimi Inman will judge the pumpkins. Special thanks to the Clayton Family and Reason Family for assisting with the event and our sponsor Weeks Farm Supply.
