Two Richmond County Students Selected for the Student Advisory Council

Richmond County School System students from Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School and A.R. Johnson Health Science & Engineering Magnet School have been selected for the 2021-22 Student Advisory Council. 

William “Jake” Cashin, a sophomore at Davidson Fine Arts Magnet, and Jene Ramnarine, a sophomore at A.R. Johnson, were selected from a pool of more than 1,000 applicants to advise State School Superintendent Richard Woods on possibly policy changes that impact classrooms. 

Students submitted applications and were selected based on the strength of their essays focused on public education.
