H.G. Reynolds Company is founded on the principle that everyone deserves a chance, and what better way to help achieve that than to invest in the community in which they work.

H.G. Reynolds Company is a privately owned construction company specializing in building K-12 schools. Working with school districts all over South Carolina allows them to have a hand in communities all over the state.

Ryan Reynolds, one of five Reynolds that owns H.G. Reynolds Company, gives a little insight into why they believe in giving back to the community: “My grandfather founded this company in 1948 because someone was willing to give him a chance, and that’s why we are big proponents of giving others a chance.”

The home office is in Aiken, but community outreach doesn’t stop within the city limits. In Lexington, the company recently gave $7,500 to the Lexington 1 Educational Foundation. The foundation plans to use the funds to purchase supplies for the schools’ construction programs.

“The Reynolds family has been extremely blessed with confidence from various school districts to manage and build their school facilities. We feel it is incumbent upon us to return thanks by giving back to the communities of those school districts who take a chance on our company,” Ryan said. “In the CSRA, we are most proud of our works with Habitat for Humanity. Every few years, we take advantage of our construction wherewithal to build and donate a house to a family in need through the Habitat program.”

Some of the other local ventures H.G. Reynolds Company is proud to support include Area Churches Together Serving (ACTS), Aiken Chamber of Commerce, Aiken County Public Schools, Aiken Women’s Heart Board Association and Aiken Center for the Arts.

“We are going into 2022 looking for as many new opportunities as possible to support the communities that support us,” Ryan said.
