A brief look at openings, closings and other changes in Augusta-area business:
NORTHERN EXPOSURE: National hardware retailer Northern Tool and Equipment is nearing completion of its first store in the Augusta area.
Northern Tool announced a push into several markets last year, including Augusta and metro Atlanta. The store taking shape on Mason McKnight Jr. Parkway, just inside the Richmond County line, will be the chain’s seventh Georgia location and one of more than 120 nationwide.
