After beginning as a missionary in Alaska and serving churches in South Carolina and Florida, the Rev. Dr. Brandi Casto-Water says she has been called by God to join Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church as its new pastor. 

“I have found the PNC [Pastor Nominating Committee] to be kind, generous and thoughtful. God has used their honesty about your struggles and their excitement about your future to lead me to join you. I am deeply grateful to be able to move together into the future that God has planned for us, for surely it is a future with hope,” Brandi wrote in a statement.

She is a graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., with a major in Religion and Sociology. Brandi entered Columbia Theological Seminary, where her internships exposed her to the worlds of the church, the urban poor and the clinical community of hospice. 

Most recently, she served as the pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church in Southwest Florida.
