Social media has revolutionized the way we do business. On Tuesday, May 17, join the Augusta Metro Chamber for a Women In Business luncheon with Katrell Nash, Owner of Nash Law Office, LLC. Nash will help guests “Avoid the Legal Landmines” while learning about the legal snares for users of social media in the workplace.
Katrell Nash is a native of Biloxi, Mississippi. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson. While a law student, she interned with the Mississippi Workers' Center for Human Rights where she helped challenge workplace discrimination at one of the south's largest corporations. As an intern with the Southern Poverty Law Center, she helped improve the living conditions of juveniles incarcerated in youth detention centers statewide in Mississippi. In 2009, she earned her Juris Doctor and moved to Augusta to live near her family.
Today, Nash is the owner of Nash Law Office, LLC, a law firm specializing in criminal defense, family law, and juvenile law. She is a certified mediator in general civil law, domestic relations law, and specialized domestic violence. She has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as Top 40 under 40 and as a Rising Star by Georgia Super Lawyers.
In her leisure time, she serves as a mentor for the Royalty Ministry at Macedonia Church of Augusta. She is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Augusta, member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®, Zeta Xi Omega Chapter, Board Member of the American Red Cross, East Central Region, Creator of #knowyourrights, a presentation targeting teens ages 11 – 18, and the current President of the Augusta Bar Association.
