On Wednesday, June 29, the Augusta Metro Chamber, along with Augusta Magazine, is pleased to host a Member Economic Luncheon at the Crowne Plaza North Augusta, featuring keynote speaker Phil Olaleye and celebrating the 2022 Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch. At this year’s event, the Chamber not only recognizes the current accomplishments and exemplary community involvement of each recipient through the 2022 Top 10 in 10 awards but aims to bring to light how these young leaders are "Creating a Culture of Opportunity" right here in our community.  

As a recipient of the 2021 Georgia Trend 40 Under 40 award and the Executive Director of Next Generation Men & Women, whose mission it is to close the opportunity gap for under-resourced students, keynote speaker Phil Olaleye will speak further on what it means to create a culture of opportunity and seize the opportunities life has to offer. 

Phil Olaleye was raised in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Phil earned his B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University and his Masters in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Phil previously served as the Director of Performance Management at WorkSource Atlanta, as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines and was a Sales and Trading Analyst with Citigroup in New York City. A 2017 LEAD Atlanta & 2019 Atlanta Regional Commission RLI Alum, Phil is passionate about leading systems change that improve the lives of youth, families and communities.  

The luncheon begins at 11:30 am at the Crowne Plaza North Augusta. Tickets are $40 for Chamber members and $50 for prospective members.  Purchase a corporate table of 8 seats at a discounted rate.
