Salvation Army of Augusta Receives Grant from Bank of America

The Salvation Army of Augusta has received a $20,000 grant from Bank of America to fund their Job Skills Training Program. The Salvation Army of Augusta's Job Skills Training Program is a tuition-free program that provides men and women of low income the opportunity to gain the practical skills necessary to support achievement in personal growth and employment success. Participants receive support to secure a job and realize life goals.
"We are so grateful to Bank of America for their grant for our Job Skills Training Program," said Major Jonathan Raymer, Area Commander and Senior Kroc Officer of the Greater Augusta Area. "In addition to their financial support, they also support our program by teaching classes on financial literacy - giving our participants a foundation to make sound financial decisions in the future.”
Partnering with the Salvation Army of Augusta in job reskilling is part of our approach to driving economic opportunity and social progress in our community,” said Ora Parish, president of Bank of America Greater Augusta / Aiken.
