Pediatric Partners of Augusta is proud to announce that four of its doctors have been chosen to become partners: Drs. Sandra Herzwurm, Beatriz Barrientos, Jill Kitchens and Yolanda Safford Jones.

“We have had the pleasure of working with these four women for some time now and are very proud to call them partners,” said Dr. Karen Foushee, founding partner. “They are all capable, wonderful pediatricians who believe in the mission of Pediatric Partners of Augusta.”

Dr. Sandra Herzwurm graduated from the University of Georgia. She attended the Medical College of Georgia where she received her medical degree and completed her pediatric residency. In addition, she served as chief resident of pediatrics. She is board certified in pediatrics. She joined Pediatric Partners in 1996 and works in the Evans location. 

Dr. Beatriz Barrientos graduated from the Medical College of Georgia with a specialty in pediatrics. She is board certified in pediatrics and is a member of state and national medical associations. She joined Pediatric Partners in February 2005 and practices at the Evans location. She is fluent in Spanish and welcomes Spanish-speaking patients. 

Dr. Jill Kitchens graduated from the University of North Georgia before attending medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, where she completed her pediatric residency. She is board certified in pediatrics and practiced medicine in Cartersville, Ga., for nine years before joining Pediatric Partners. Dr. Kitchens practices at the Grovetown office. 

Dr. Yolanda Safford Jones was born and raised in Augusta and is a proud graduate of A.R. Johnson High School and Spelman College. She obtained her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. Dr. Safford is board certified in pediatrics. She joined the practice in 2018 and can be found at the Evans and Grovetown offices.
