This conference will bring lay men, lay women and youth from the states of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia together to worship, study, and fellowship. They will be better equipped to share the information that they received with their fellow laymen, all in this shared effort to enhance Kingdom building work.
The Walter Cade, Jr. Regional Workshop was founded by Walter Cade, Jr. in 1971 in hopes of getting more men involved in the laymen movement on the national level. Cade initially introduced regional workshops and held them on weekends in states within driving distance of each other. Soon after, the workshops were divided up into regions. The General Missionary Baptist Convention of Ga. Inc. are in the Southeast Region and consist of, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. Each year, the workshop moves from state to state within the region. In 2020 Georgia was to host, but due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the workshop was cancelled and re-scheduled for 2022.
