Paine College has entered into an Institutional Articulation Agreement with Augusta Technical College. An articulation agreement signing ceremony was held at Augusta Technical College on Wednesday, September 7, at 4pm in the Joseph and Jean Rogers Executive Boardroom on the Augusta Campus.

Augusta Technical College's associate degree programs will serve as a feeder pathway with the first two years of general education and technical content with an associate's degree awarded by Augusta Technical College, a two-year institution, and seamlessly transferred to Paine College, a four-year institution with general admission to complete a bachelor's degree. The review of courses will be determined to further apply a framework/course matrix to baccalaureate majors offered by Paine College involving Business Administration (ACBSP accredited), Histo1y, Biology, Mathematics, Psychology, Sociology, and Mass Communications.

“We look forward to welcoming students from Augusta Technical College,” said Dr. Cheryl Evans Jones, Paine College President. "This partnership positions Augusta Tech students to smoothly enter and enroll in Paine College to pursue a four-year degree. With guidance from academic advisors at both institutions working together, the students will be given a clear pathway to transfer credits from Augusta Tech to Paine towards a bachelor’s degree. In addition, students will be able to take courses in-person or online which will offer flexibility and allow them to learn in an environment that best suits them."

The agreement, which goes into effect at the beginning of spring semester 2023, is between Paine College and Augusta Technical College for the seamless transfer and articulation of undergraduate, baccalaureate majors at Paine College offered under the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees with Augusta Tech’s Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees.

"Augusta Technical College is honored to renew our transfer agreement with Paine College," stated Augusta Technical College President Dr. Jermaine Whirl. "We believe this agreement will provide a seamless pathway for students who want to matriculate into Paine from our institution."

Augusta Technical College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and Paine College is accredited by Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS).
