"Masquerade Ball on Ice" Scheduled for November 5th

Staff Report

Wednesday, October 26th, 2022

Ball attendees may opt to wear traditional masks, but they will not need skates to enjoy “Masquerade Ball on Ice” on Saturday evening, November 5th. “Donnie Thompson and the wonderful team at Windsor Fine Jewelers have graciously agreed to host our event at The Richmond on Greene by providing that beautiful facility pro bono,” explains scholarship pageant founder and CEO Pamela Hahn. “This fun and festive event will help fund next year’s Miss United States Armed Forces Scholarship Pageant and our Miss Teen United States Armed Forces Scholarship Pageant.” Miss United States Armed Forces is a non-profit 501(c)(3) which, through a competitive scholarship program, promotes education, encourages academic excellence, and celebrates volunteerism. Our primary focus is mentoring young ladies of our U.S. military families and allies by preparing them for leadership, developing self-confidence, building lasting relationships, and providing a platform from which they can be a voice to honor America’s military.

Local artist and entrepreneur Evamaria Foltz is spearheading event promotion and sponsorships for the ball and both of next year’s scholarship pageants. “I was inspired by Pamela Hahn’s passion for helping young women connected to our military,” says Mrs. Foltz. “We’re sincerely hoping this community generously supports this worthwhile cause.”
