Burke Health Welcomes Dr. David Doman

Burke Health welcomes orthopedic specialist Dr. David Doman, to Burke Orthopedics. Doman is a retired Army colonel.
Doman has experience treating a range of complex orthopedic conditions and has been published in multiple peer-reviewed publications. His practice encompasses general orthopedics with a specialty in hip and knee replacement and sports medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Doman retired from the Army as a colonel after 20 years of service in the Army and Marine Corps. His military service includes:
- Chief of Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, Fort Gordon, Ga., 2020-2022
- Chief of Orthopedics and Podiatry, Fort Campbell, KY, 2016-2019
- Chief Medical Officer, Task Force Medical 16, Baghdad, Iraq, 2022
- Orthopedic Surgeon for Forward Surgical Teams in Afghanistan in 2013 and 2017
He was awarded a Health Professions Scholarship from the Army and graduated from Dartmouth Medical School in 2006. He completed his fellowship training in hip and knee replacement at Indiana University and is the former chief of hip and knee arthroplasty at Fort Gordon in Augusta.

He has been married to Jennifer Doman since 1997, and they have five children.
Doman’s primary location is Burke Orthopedics home campus, 300 Jones Ave., Waynesboro. He is now accepting new patients in Louisville, Millen, Swainsboro, and Waynesboro.
