North Augusta Chamber Presents Awards at Annual Meeting

The North Augusta Chamber of Commerce presented their 71st Annual Meeting & Banquet, North Augusta’s Marketplace on March 2nd at the Crowne Plaza North Augusta. The Chamber’s premier event saw a packed crowd of more than 300 attendees.
The Chamber presented two awards: Ambassador of the Year and Citizen of the Year.
Tom F. Allgood, III was presented the award for 2022 Ambassador of the Year. The Ambassador of the Year award honors a Chamber Ambassador who has volunteered many hours of time, talent and energy to the success and growth of the North Augusta Chamber. “Tom consistently supports the Chamber at various events each month, leads member educational workshops, and is always willing to pitch in where he can. His infectious personality always fills the room with joy and ability to anticipate your needs is incredible. He is the true embodiment of a dedicated volunteer”, says Chamber president Terra Carroll. Tom is the Sales and Marketing Manager at Brookdale North Augusta. Congratulations Tom!
Stevie Huff was presented the award for 2022 Citizen of the Year. A lifelong resident of North Augusta, Mr. Huff goes above and beyond to support his community. He currently lends his time and talents to the Augusta GreenJackets Baseball franchise, G.L. Brightharp and Sons Mortuary, North Augusta Chamber of Commerce, North Augusta Parks, Recreation and Tourism, Aiken County Board of Voter Registration and Elections, and Crowne Plaza North Augusta. “You wish you could clone him, but he manages to create that illusion himself by how much he shows up for the City of North Augusta”, says Jeannine Steinkuhl, Director of Sales & Marketing at Crowne Plaza North Augusta. “We know he takes enough pride in what he does himself, but our pride comes from knowing Mr. Stevie”, she says.
Stevie Huff may have retired from UPS, but he is most definitely a full-time advocate for the betterment of the City of North Augusta. Congratulations Stevie!
