Annual Arts Awards Nominations Process is Open

The Annual Arts Awards meeting is a staple of the Arts Council’s yearly events, held each June to recognize outstanding work and development in the community. The nominations process is open now through April 23, 2023 at midnight. The award winners will be recognized at the Annual Awards night event on June 15, 2023, at The Knox Music Institute at the Miller Theatre at 6pm. There are several awards that are given in this process, including; volunteer, arts professional, individual artist, media, sponsor and the Kath Girdler Engler Public Art Award.

The 2022 Annual Awards winners included:
Artist: Anila Agha from Augusts University.
Sponsor: Blane Bailey from Tranter Grey.
Media: Ashlee Duren, Morris Communications Co.
Arts Professional: Matt Porter, The Morris Museum of Art.
Volunteer: Nelson A. Danish.
Kath Girdler Engler Public Art Award: Dennis Skelley, Georgia Rehabilitation Institute, Inc.
